Sanctuary

Bedroom always be my sanctuary where I demand serenity and comfortableness but this is the first time I kept distracting myself with dissatisfaction.

Bedroom is authority. Line of privacy. A bunk where you want to throw your body after a whole tiring day. and sleep like a bull in grace.

I am not expecting a luxury bedroom, no, but like my previous bedrooms all feel personal and it contained everything that satisfy me.

I'd like to put all my stuff on my bedroom in neat one because I have allergy and like most place in my country they throw about dust that I hate the most. It is important for me to put everything closed and neat so it's easy for me to clean it.

I face a challenge in my present bedroom that I found I must remodel and reorganize everything as I live with two in tiny little room that should fit both clothes, which not now.

I don't know where I start but I guess it's silly to throw away all my clothes which I already did half of it and still everything just doesn't fit in my room.

This are some inspiration I wish I could make it true in the following months.

All pictures are from Freshome : 40 Small Bedrooms Ideas To Make Your Home Look Bigger and still I could not decide how am I gonna organize my room as I have very limited space to put a lot of my stuff. Or should I follow Carrie Bradshaw suggestion when you married a man ask for a big closet rather than diamond :p

Farewell Vampires

Finally!! The most anticipated movie this year "Breaking Dawn Pt. 2" released on Friday, November 16th 2012.

I don't watch movie in the cinema recently. Money issues (read: being wise on spending money unless the movie I expect to be worth the cost). So I was in long holiday and miserably alone, husband need to work on Friday to Sunday. So after packed up for all my husband necessity, we went to cinema to buy the ticket in advance.

I buy two ticket: Skyfall and (off course) Breaking Dawn Pt. 2

I watched Skyfall at 15.15 first and Breaking Dawn at 19.00. Five minute late due to high rain and traffic-not so good combination but who cares.

Skyfall is as usual Bond-type movie with lots of action lots of gun lots of sexy woman. Gotta admit Javier Bardem really put a good role as a villain. I couldn't even recognize him at first, he went to blonde his hair and that made him look different and evil. The best part is Adele took part on the OST and damn good as usual.

Back to Breaking Dawn Pt.2, what can I say? It's definitely good. More humor and more human. Since I already expected that the film are going to be far from the novel, I didn't feel disappoint. I feel sated as the movie is finally come to an end. Some important part is there and that's enough. The best part-shocked I think-was when I saw Carlisle fought Aro and the moment later his head on Aro's hand off from his body and then Jasper, Seth, Leah on and on. I just can "F*ck this is not how it supposed to be? There's no fight. This is so wrong" and then BANG! It just Alice's vision. I must be forgot that part.

The favorite to the least (personal opinion): Twillight >>Breaking Dawn Pt 2>> Breaking Dawn Pt.1>> Eclipse>>New Moon ...... What's yours?

I grew and loved Twillight Saga a lot. Admiring the stories, the cast and the movie-even some are disappointing. I always love magical things vampire, werewolf, dracula and bla bla bla and it happened this vampires are extremely well-looking not mentioning someone in Blade movie :p

I love finally it came to an end. I was touched that at the end of the movie, they showed all the cast from Twillight to New Moon to Eclipse to Breaking Dawn Pt1 and Pt2 on the credit title each cast by cast and it's very saddening and warm. Gonna miss this type of movie but next year helluva erotic romance movie is on its way. Can't wait. Can't consider it'll get into cinema. Way to go Fifty Shades of Grey! Hahha...
Best way to spend weekend alone, huh? So what are you doing in this long weekend?

.Cheers.

Saturday 9: Live and Let Die

Stranded on Samantha's blog and decided to join her meme on Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Here I go!

1) "Live and Let Die" was nominated for an Oscar as best song. Do you have a favorite movie song? Recently Christina Perri-A Thousand Years. I have no idea it was a movie soundtrack from Breaking Dawn.

2) The latest Bond movie, Skyfall, is crazy successful. Have you seen it/do you want to see it? Yes, Friday night and watched it alone without companion.

3) What do you think makes Bond movies so enduringly popular? Action, guns, and boom boom boom!

4) Do you have a favorite among the actors who have played "Bond, James Bond?" Only Daniel Craig.

5) Bond orders martinis -- "shaken, not stirred." What's your regular drink order? I wish I could. Sorry I don't drink.

6) Moving from the bar to breakfast -- do you have a favorite cereal? Kellog's special for diet. Not because I diet, it's the only grain-based cereal I could find in near supermarket.

7) Let's daydream about warm weather. Would you rather swim in a lake, the ocean, or an outdoor pool? Outdoor pool. I am scared with ocean as I always remembered Jaws everytime I swim on the ocean

8) Did you get 8 hours' sleep last night? Whoaaa more than that. I'm usually not the sleepy head one but last night I've slept for 12 hours, must because heavy rain. It's cool and humid, the best way to hibernate under blanket

9) What are you wearing on your feet right now? Barefoot.

.Cheers.

Happy New Year 1434 H

Happy New Year for all moslems,

Many times we forgot that our new year is actually on  1 Muharram 1434 Hijriah or happen November 15th this year. Especially this year I felt the vibe how many people celebrate new year massively. This new year happened in Thursday and Friday was common holiday so there were a long vacation on weekend. A lot of people have chance to spend their time with family and beloved people.

As my husband working on weekend, I have nothing to do apart from blogging. So I did a little self-reflection like I used to do except in this past years. You know, what's next goal, what I've been achieve and sorta things. Since married, actually, I lost all that I called passion that sometimes possessing. Apparently my goal on this 2 years were the same and I just realized how actually Allah SWT fulfilled mostly my goal.

Started couple years ago I wrote what I want to achieve and what I already achieved. All in my notebook. (I'll update you with the picture later).

From all the list, most are accomplished, some are delayed, some are cancelled. Most of the things were for my family so weren't for my personal enhancement. Though not all was accomplish with my effort but with my eldest brother too. For me, no matter who accomplished it as long as it for family matter it's ok, I had a good intention and was hoping the best. For parents, for family what's not.

Once more HAPPY NEW YEAR 1434 H. Happy holiday. Happy long weekend :)

Updated:

Have you write down your wish-list to achieve for the next year? I don't have list for a good reason now, sorry, but I'll let you know if I end up have one.

.Cheers.

Triplet Festivity

Among all months in a year, November give me the most feels, the mark of the life and the death of the dearest.

. My brother's birthday. It's been 12 years now. We had family dinner and he managed to choose to eat steak. Yes he can choose what he likes and dislikes. Though I found my self at disadvantage to find him a birthday gift. I don't know which category does a 12-year-old boy is, a kid or a teenager? My brothers are the reason I need to become a good sister, a good role mode which somehow I failed to manage it. I never succeed. We all grew with no mother presence and so much drama in life and I have this worry that he needs to go through a life I've been through. The hardship of have no mother as your teacher of life. But I hope he'll manage to go through it as like his other sister and brother manage to go through it. We have this same blood. A blood of a survivor and a fighter. Happy Birthday, F!

. My mother's death. Yes, it's been 12 years by now, as you can see the hint. My mother was one of a mother who put her life in the line to deliver her child, my brother. She was always a tough mother and I grateful that Allah SWT take her away because life can harm her and I don't want that. Every time I've through the hardship where I wish she was there holding and accompanying me I just feel more grateful that she wasn't. For the best mother deserve the best place. In Allah's side. Nothing more beautiful than that. I always love you, mom!

. My 1st Wedding Anniversary. It's been a years + 9 years of relationship means 10 years togetherness. Me and husband never really celebrate our anniversary only at the beginning years of the relationship. And, to be honest, to count it to 1 (one) again and to say Happy Anniversary seemed odd. :) I grateful for every differences that even devastated me we can still together until forever. Thank you husband for letting me be a wife who has a rock star attitude that like to hang out on T-shirt and jeans and sneakers instead of dress, compromise when we will have a child and anything that occur in our little world, giving me freedom to spend couple hundred thousands rupiah in books instead of clothes or shoes or bags, not pushing me to cook instead you cook for me, and all my too-broad open mind and all my harsh thought and all my harsh way to show love. Happy Wedding Anniversary, F! Your the best, always!

This is the way I like to celebrate moments, a single cake and a single candle *blow off*

Thank you for being the biggest part of my life. Family always comes first.

.Cheers.

Where I Buy My Book?

I've been into books lately, usually I read literature both Indonesian or English but I am more to English literature especially the classic ones. It's hard to find old books or English books in Indonesia only several bookstore and I don't read book translations. No matter how hard their English are I like it better in the original language.

I buy books both online and domestic bookstores but mostly online. The pluses and minuses when I want to buy books from domestic bookstore are:
  • their books are not complete some aren't yet arrived in Indonesia
  • their tend to be a little bit more expensive (publisher fee, shipping fee, and their own fee)
  • pay using local currency
Periplus. This bookstore are well-known for selling books in original language. English. Their website is not up-to-date enough with the new books. But you can always pre-order for unreleased books and contact through their email or twitter. Their CS is very helpful when you order online. I bought books couple times and even for an old book they don't mind if they need it to check it first in their warehouse. I want to have their Elite Card but I have to go to their bookstores which is difficult for me. Too bad.

Gramedia Bookstore. Indonesia well-known bookstores but very limited collection for books in English language, it's good only when it comes to Indonesian books. I don't buy from here often only comics but my husband find a lot of his books here.

Times Bookstore. As I remembered I bought one book from Times, another English books. One of my favorite bookstore. You can look through their collection here.

Kinokuya Bookstore. I visit Kinokuya most when I go to the mall. Haven't tried their online service, do they have it?

(ak.'sa.ra). Haven't tried to buy books from here because I can't find one.

Blame my impetuosity. If I want some books I want it immediately. On Google you can find a lot of online booksellers from the cheapest to the most expensive from all over the world mostly US and UK. For someone like me who lived across oceans far from US or European land shipping cost will be a major problem to buy books but that ain't gonna stop me.

The pluses and minuses when I want to buy books from foreign online booksellers are:
  • their books are in wide range genre and more complete collection
  • their tend to be a little bit more expensive (US currency)
  • pay using US currency
  • you must have Credit Card
  • long time shipping day
Book Depository. A UK-based online bookseller free of charge, worldwide, to over 100 countries. I love bookdepository the most because it's FREE SHIPPING. Yes, their book price is a little more expensive compare to Amazon but believe me it's worth it. I bought six books, yes SIX books, from bookdepository and well satisfied with their services. The shipping to the rest of the world including Indonesia is 7 - 10 working days. I love to shop books here. Gonna do it again in the future for sure.

Better World Books. I love this site. First, you can buy books while you make some charity because every time you buy a book they donate to someone in need. Second, they sell new books and used books. Third, FREE SHIPPING. Yes, I have to be a smart buyer. I order an old book from Better World Books and cost me only US$ 5 and their condition as good as new. They have funny system, 'your book' will send you an email telling you that they're thankful and happy because someone has pick up and buy them. I was astonished at the first time. For new books yes I have to admit the price is higher that bookdepository.

Thrift Books. A US-based bookseller which sell new and used books. Haven't tried once because it have shipping fee US$9.9. Maybe someday I'll try to buy books from here.

Amazon. Yes, this site is very well-known to buy a books. Super complete collection. But I find it very expensive to buy books to be deliver to Indonesia. Their books price are the cheapest among all bookseller but if you buy books above US$ 50 you will get charge for Tax and because all the books are not from one publisher they will send it in separate and it makes the shipping fee as much as the books we bought. Amazon only good if you lived in US because they provide free shipping.

For Indonesian people, there's a third party that provided services to buy books from Amazon or other US or UK books but they'll end up as expensive as Amazon. The choice is always ours.

.Cheers.
