Today we ripped off a blogger named regular player, Kwizgiver, from her blog What If This Is As Good As It Gets? She doesn't say where she got it--but it was probably stolen from somewhere cool. 26.) If you had to order from a kid's menu, what would you get? Mini size of rice and chicken nuggets.

29.) Do you go onto YouTube? Yes and recently falling in love with @Mike_tompkins music.

30.) Do you play Angry Birds?  Yupe but not that challenging enough for me. Mini games are piece of cake :P

31.) Do you like theme parties? I don't do party, any kind of party.

32.) Do you like current cartoons?  I am not a fan of cartoon or animations. Sorry, just not my thing.

33.) Have you ever cried because you were so happy? Have I? I think I have when I was innocent and naive.

34.) Who would you like to see in concert?   I don't watch concert a lot. This 27 years I only went to Java Rockinland because it's free and BigBang from Korea. But I'd like to see Adele and ZookOut Singapore. That's it!

35.) Can you swim well? Yes for chest stroke, I teach my hubs the proper way. But I am struggling for Freestyle because I easily get tired.

36.) Ever won a contest? Nope.

37.) Ever won a giveaway? Nope.

38.) Do you get a full 8 hours of sleep every night? 7 to 8 everyday and overdose on tge weekend to 10hrs.

39.) What tea do you like? Anykind of original tea. English breakfast or earl grey as long it's not fruity tea.

40.) What mixed drink do you like? No thanks. I don't like mixed drink.

41.) Do you shop at Walmart? No Walmart here, but Carrefour or Watson.

42.) Do you shop at Target? No Target here.

43.) What do you order at your local coffee shop? I am not a coffee person, am a tea addict.

44.) Do you drink bottled or tap water? Bottle. Tap water here isn't for drink.

45.) Do you like homemade meals? Always. It's the best. I rarely eat outside.

46.) Do you like homemade baked goods? Now u make me miss my mom. I always love homemade goods. They don't sell it somewhere. 

47.) Do you shop online? Yupe sometime, for books @ Book Depository and Ali Express for Chinese products.

49.) What holiday don't you like? Who doesn't like holidays?

50.) What do you eat more when you're sick? Hot spicy noodle with egg and have hot spiced drink (ginger,cinamon,cloves).

Saturday 9: Tunnel of Love

1) Do you enjoy amusement park rides? Not really, 2 rides and then I am done, whether I suffer heavy dizzines or jackpot through or after the rides. Not good things to do.

2) In this song, Bruce likens romance to riding through the tunnel of love. The Red Hot Chili Peppers sing about a "Love Rollercoaster." What amusement park ride reminds you of your relationships? Bumper car. A truely excitement when doing crazy things.

3) Bruce's nickname is The Boss. Who was your best boss? What made him/her a good supervisor? I have problem with authority and older people so I used to hold them at arm's length. Usually they don't leave with good impressions.

4) Bruce's father was a bus driver and his mother was a legal secretary. What professions did/do your parents work in?My father worked in one private company while my mom is excellent brilliant smart housewife who loved to cook.

5) Bruce met his wife Patti at a bar in Asbury Park. Do you believe you can pick up lasting love in a bar? Maybe work for some people but I personally do not think that will last.

6) Springsteen was unable to work for years because he was embroiled in a lawsuit with his management company. Have you ever been sued, or sued someone else? No. I hope never.

7) Bruce won an Oscar for writing the title song for the Tom Hanks movie Philadelphia. Do you have a favorite Tom Hanks movie? mmmmm.....no.

8) Bruce's official Twitter account (@springsteen) has more than 389,000 followers. Do you tweet? If so, how many people follow you? Yes, I tweet. I don't really aware of how many people that follow me. Less than 200. Do you have twitter? Let's follow each other.

9) Bruce's drummer, Mighty Max Weinberg, led the band on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Who do you think is funnier -- Conan or Jay Leno? Or are you looking forward to Jimmy Fallon? Hmmm, sorry am living across the continents but I used to watch Oprah and Ellen. Girls power!

 

I am missing weekend blogging so today I am trying to do it using my phone which is not easy. But I am glad I can though it will lack pics or stuff. I am moving out from my city to big city so I spent a lot of time adapting.

Sunday Stealing: The Unlucky 13 Meme

1. On average, how long does it take you to get ready for work/school/a day or night out? 15 to 30 minutes.

2. If you could ask your favorite author one question about the book(s) they wrote, what would it be? Would you please insert me in one of the scene?

3. What do you think is the hardest thing about growing up? No longer able being innocent and naive.

4. Who would you rather switch places with for a day: your favorite celebrity, or your favorite fictional character? my favorite fictional character. Being loved by some hot and bad-ass jerk.

5. Who would you rather have point out a flaw that you weren't aware you had: a close personal friend, or a total stranger? Neither. I knew my own flaw and even I hate it when people point it out.

 6. Do you get jealous easily? If so, what sorts of qualities or characteristics in other people are you most likely to be jealous of? Not really. Chicks being so dumb I guess because I just can't do it.

7. Which version of yourself would you rather have a conversation with: the one from ten years ago, or the one you turn into ten years from now? the one from ten years ago. So I could slap her in the face and WAKE UP!

8. Were you ever bullied in any way as a child? If so, how has it shaped you today? Yupe. Affect me a lot in one way and another esp a way to bully myself. It gave me a lot of insecurities.

9. What is one fear you would like to overcome in your lifetime? Of living perhaps. or dogs. and gecko.

10. What is one food you haven't tried yet that you would like to? when you cook for me :)

11. Is it easier to forgive someone for the wrong they've done you or to seek forgiveness from someone that you've wronged in any way? someone for the wrong they've done you, hmm that's sound like me.

I've been missing Saturday 9 and Sunday Stealing this months for personal and internet problems but I am glad I'm back. But I don't know since I living in different city now and I still not yet settle with the environment. See you around.

My Nationalism

I might heard this somewhere, but I don't think I heard it somewhere, wait! Well, I never really cared what people talk about me, I didn't even know if they talk about me. Who cares? I don't care!

Well, I never questioning my nationalism but maybe the way I show my pride on my country wasn't always in the same road like everybody else.

I love my country-whole of it-but some parts just don't match mine. I hate ethnic discrimination.

I get this a lot from older people when people ask me 

A: "Which ethnic are you?"

Me: "I am Indonesian"

A: "Which ethnic are you?"

Me: Ooouughhh persistence don't you. "I born in B city, grew in B city, my mother from D and C ethnicity, my father from E ethnicity and ancestry from F people, so I am Indonesian"

Given how people nowadays more modern and advance and there's a lot of cross-ethnic weddings which make their new generation is a mixed of different culture. 

I love every ethnic in Indonesia but what I hate is people tend to talk bad of other ethnic and that's way I pronounce myself out loud " I am Indonesian". It seemed like I don't care about being in one ethnicity, yes I don't care, because in my eyes Indonesia is about diversity but yet we haven't grown yet to accept difference.

Gotta admit I love traditional things like traditional dance, language, custom, clothes and I treasure them by watch them and proud of them. 

I can understand several words from 2 traditional language from 2 different ethnics but because I didn't learn it for advanced it just evaporate like that. I don't do the dances but would love to if I can. I love kebaya and batik but I don't wear it often. Well, let's say different preferences. 

Ah, I speak and write English more than Bahasa. I don't know, I just don't have that "connection" with Bahasa. You'll find me frozen or blank to speak or write in Bahasa, well I don't know why I found difficulty on words in Bahasa. So don't blame me. 

To me nationalism wasn't always about what you wear, talk but it's more like what we feel. I feel proud with my country despite every flaws and that hard-and-difficult transportation and the nightmare-traffic.

and I don't whine. I love my country so I don't whine but live in honesty to make this country better.

Morton's Fork

This week is week full of good news from my husband, my family and my friends. I'm happy when they're happy. Moreover my husband got his new job. 

I've been waiting for this day. His new job means move out from home. I've been dying to live alone. 

The realization is I-we-need to stay at Jakarta, capital city of Indonesia. I've been staying at Jakarta before I got married for 1y9m and then I commute for 1y4m. I love the idea of living (again) in Jakarta means I don't need to commute 4 hours a day by train for work add with my fight with cold shower, cold weather, uncomfortable train, Jakarta traffic. I'm happy and can't wait to not commute everyday. 

But then I remember how I loathe living in Jakarta so bad. This city is hideous. I hate the temptation of the lifestyle-the more money you've got the more money you'll spend-and I've been fighting it off the last 2 years. All the hustle and bustle of Jakarta that make me often nausea. And I've never been a city girl. 

I do happy but it just doesn't feel that right.

It's a dilemma with two equally unpleasant options like when people said "between the devil and the deep blue sea"

I can't find any other way. I just want to settle but perhaps it's not the time. So I guess I just need to endure, I hope I won't get crazy.

High Vibe in July

Wow, It's been a busy month lately, I keep delaying what I want to share with you.

All this work stuff, and the heaviest part in my backpack which is family and relationship increase its weigh significantly. But I am glad, it's a gift.

Banyak banget hal yang berubah secara intensitas dan mendewasakan gw lebih dalam kehidupan. Suasana kerja yang nyaman belum tentu menghadirkan ketidak gelisahan dalam hati. Tapi memang ga semuanya sempurna sie. But I hafta bear with it.

Kota dengan Polusi dan Macet

Hari ini saya bukan mau mengeluh tentang Jakarta tapi sharing bagaimana menjalani hidup di Jakarta.

Pernah ga sih kita dengar klo Jakarta macet karena volume kendaraan nya semakin meningkat sedangkan ukuran jalannya tidak bertambah atau mungkin berkurang jika dihitung dengan berapa banyak orang yang sembarangan parkir di pinggir jalan atau digunakan pedagang kaki lima untuk berjualan?

Saya rasa pernah. Setidaknya saya pernah baca dan pernah mendengar.

Dan sering ga sih mendengar kalo orang-orang menyalahkan pemerintah karena fasilitas angkutan umum belum memadai. Semisal, stasiun kereta api yang seadanya, jadwal kereta api yang masih sesuka jidatnya mogok atau bermasalah dengan mesin klo hujan, belum lagi desek-desekan klo naik kereta mau itu kereta ekonomi, ekonomi AC maupun Express sekalipun, jumlah bis transjakarta yang sedikit belum lagi harus umpel-umpelan ?

Saya yakin sering. Setidaknya saya sering mendengar.

Seberapa sering kalian mau menikmati jalan di trotoar (itu juga kalo ada) menuju kantor atau tempat yang jaraknya relatif mudah dijangkau dengan berjalan kaki tanpa mengeluh akan polusi dari kendaraan yang lewat?

Saya yakin ga banyak yang melakukannya dan tidak mengeluh. Setidaknya itu yang saya perhatikan.

Dan oleh karena itu, sebagian besar dari mereka yang memilih harus tinggal atau bekerja di Jakarta datang dan pergi menggunakan kendaraan pribadi untuk menghindari yang namanya panas, debu, polusi, asap kendaraan, ketidaknyamanan, dan cape.

Dan karena begitu banyak alasan yang sama, orang-orang menyalahkan orang lain bukan diri sendiri. Memang paling enak menyalahkan orang lain.

Pernah dengar kalo anggota dewan adalah cerminan bangsa, kalo pas rapat Pansus Century mereka berteriak, dan berantem, dan apalah yang disebut orang-orang. Kenapa musti mereka kita salahkan. Biar itu jadi cerminan untuk kita bahwa kita JANGAN seperti itu, JANGAN seperti mereka. Cermin memperbaiki diri sehingga memperbaiki negara ini.

Hal yang sama, kita menyalahkan pemerintah, karena mereka lah yang harus melayani kita. Karena kita bayar pajak, karena kita membayar mereka. Emang semua orang di negara ini punya kesadaran bayar pajak? Memangnya negara itu pelayan kita? Ga rela kalau duid yang kita bayar untuk pajak dipakai oknum-oknum yang cuma mengandalkan nafsu punya uang banyak?

Negara tidak melayani warganya tapi warganya melayani negaranya. Kalau semua orang punya pemikiran yang sama Indonesia sudah pasti hebat.

Kita harus jadi contoh untuk yang kita bilang tidak layak di contoh. Contoh menjadi orang yang menghargai fasilitas umum walaupun fasilitasnya seadanya. Contoh menjadi orang yang menghargai waktu dengan tidak menjadikan macet sebagai alasan. Contoh orang yang mau menggunakan Transjakarta, Kereta Api, Kopaja, Metromini tanpa harus mengeluh mengenai jadwalnya, macetnya, panasnya. Contoh orang yang tidak korupsi baik waktu khususnya buat mahasiswa yang suka demo, uang umumnya untuk yang diperbudak oleh uang, dan lainnya. Kita harus jadi contoh untuk apa yang kita inginkan, apa yang kita lakukan, apa yang kita harapkan. Kita jadi contoh untuk orang-orang berkedok diluar sana. Contoh bahwa kita lebih terhormat dari mereka karena kita melakukan sesuatu yang layak dicontoh bukan hanya meneriakkan kata-kata tanpa melakukan apa-apa

Kalau Kita bermimpi Indonesia punya sarana dan fasilitas transportasi yang baik. Hey, hanya pada saat sarana dan fasilitas transportasi itu baikkah kita akan menggunakannya? Sebenarnya yang harus dirubah bukan sarananya atau fasilitasnya, tapi KEMAUAN kita. Apakah kamu bisa jamin kalau sarana dan fasilitas transportasi sudah baik kamu akan menjaganya dan menggunakannya tanpa mengeluh?

Asli atau Palsu

Sebenernya yang kita tunjukkan ke orang lain itu asli atau palsu si?

Kadang gw berpikir "gw pengen jadi diri gw sendiri" it means aslinya gw donk..

Well terkadang qta atau gw lah merasa sudah asli tapi percaya deh begitu kita bertemu orang lain qta akan dihadapkan dengan keaslian-keaslian orang lain juga yang mungkin berbeda dengan kita. Coba deh perhatikan kalau kalian sedang dengan teman-teman, sahabat, keluarga dan pacar. Seberapa besar kenyamanan yang kalian dapatkan itu pasti akan beragam. Umumnya kita sangat 'asli' didepan keluarga, tapi ini ga berlaku untuk semua iorang. Cuma kita yang bisa menilai seberapa keaslian kita yang kita tunjukkan ke orang lain..

dan saat kita menunjukkan keaslian kita, apakah orang lain akan benar-benar menerima keaslian kita itu?

Gw tinggal di Jakarta sementara ini karena bekerja lah pasti. Gw beranggapan Jakarta itu lucu. Kenapa? Karena setiap nyawa diragukan kadar nilainya tapi gw tetep salut karena kota Jakarta penuh perjuangan sekali klo musti liat kondisi macet sana-sini dan betapa kontrasnya gedung-gedung tinggi dengan bedeng-bedeng. Jakarta menyediakan begitu banyak mimpi dan banyak orang yang mendedikasikan mimpinya untuk dibuat di Jakarta bukan di pedalaman Kalimantan atau Papua. Setiap hari gw dipertontonkan dengan kepalsuan jiwa dan fisik. KE-LABIL-AN jiwa anak manusia. Gw ga mau bilang gw stabil but at least gw sadar da gw fight against it. Gw ga nge-judge ya hanya mengemukakan apa yang gw pikirin,, Sebenernya mereka hidup untuk apa? Coba deh lo tanya ke diri lo atau sekitar lo dan liat seberapa besar mereka yang tau tujuan hidup mereka untuk apa. Dan mau jadi apa mereka? setiap orang at least harus punya jawaban.. mereka harus tau kemana mereka melangkahkan kaki mereka. Dan apa yang sudah mereka lakukan untuk menjadi seperti yang mereka mau? Apa yang sudah mereka lakukan untuk menggapai tujuan hidup mereka?

Gw ga mau sotoy tapi pertanyaan yang sama juga diajukan ke gw-gw tau jawabannya-tapi gw belum mengarahkan kaki kesana. Ibarat kata gw harusnya langsung belok ke kanan tapi gw milih jalan muter yang jauh dengan pergi ke kiri dulu. Bukannya ga baik. Tapi emangnya seberapa lama sih kita bakal hidup di dunia ini? Kalau pada saat kita baru mulai ternyata umur kita ga cukup lagi gimana?

Satu lagi yang pengen gw bahas tentang asli atau palsu. Cinta dan sayang kita kepada pasangan kita itu sebenernya asli atau palsu si? Coba tanya itu ke hati kecil kalian. Apakah hubungan itu bermanfaat atau tidak buat kalian? Waktu itu gw ditanya hal yang sama dan jawabannya "taraaaa..........." okelah kalo begitu...hahaha. GW mengutip kutipannya temen gw "Kamu gak boleh jatogh kalo kamu patah hati soalnya kehidupan jalan terus dan gak peduli kalo kamu patah hati"

Jadi punya cinta yang asli-asli aja yah.....

They came from different backround but this 2-hour events broaden our heart and heart. Earth will always in its good shape because of these people and I bet we do, I do, she does, he does
