Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme.
Let's go!!!

Today we ripped off as a blogger named Danielle, from her blog Sometimes Sweet. She doesn't say where she got it--but it was probably stolen from somewhere cool. Tracing back the thefts of those that we steal from could take a while. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Mama Told Me (Not to Come)

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

1) This song is about a lad who didn't take his mother's advice and attended the wild party anyway (hear it here). When you were young, did your parents approve of your friends? If you're a parent yourself, how have you handled it when your kids start hanging around with friends you're not crazy about? I didn't remember any of it but I think I didn't have a lot of friends.

2) A 2010 poll named Marge Simpson of The Simpsons the most popular TV mom of all time. Who is your favorite TV (or movie) mother? No idea

3) Crazy Sam's mother is a big fan of The National Enquirer. As she likes to say, "They were right about John Edwards!" Do you read the tabloids? Cast a guilty glance at them when you're in line at the store? Or ignore them altogether? No

4) Mother Winters always gave Sam peppermint tea to calm her stomach. Do you have any tried-and-true home remedies to share? No

5) Thinking of guts ... When making decisions, do you tend to consider all the options carefully or do you "go with your gut"? Consider everything... Do I even have guts?

6) Spring is here! Do you have a green thumb? What is green thumb?

7) Have you put away your winter clothes yet? No winter here

8) After you lather and rinse, do you repeat? Yupe

9) To celebrate Mother's Day, Sam is giving away Hershey bars. Would you prefer classic milk chocolate, dark chocolate or milk chocolate with almonds? With almond :)

Have a great Saturday
.Cheers.

My Nationalism

I might heard this somewhere, but I don't think I heard it somewhere, wait! Well, I never really cared what people talk about me, I didn't even know if they talk about me. Who cares? I don't care!

Well, I never questioning my nationalism but maybe the way I show my pride on my country wasn't always in the same road like everybody else.

I love my country-whole of it-but some parts just don't match mine. I hate ethnic discrimination.

I get this a lot from older people when people ask me
A: "Which ethnic are you?"
Me: "I am Indonesian"
A: "Which ethnic are you?"
Me: Ooouughhh persistence don't you. "I born in B city, grew in B city, my mother from D and C ethnicity, my father from E ethnicity and ancestry from F people, so I am Indonesian"

Given how people nowadays more modern and advance and there's a lot of cross-ethnic weddings which make their new generation is a mixed of different culture.

I love every ethnic in Indonesia but what I hate is people tend to talk bad of other ethnic and that's way I pronounce myself out loud " I am Indonesian". It seemed like I don't care about being in one ethnicity, yes I don't care, because in my eyes Indonesia is about diversity but yet we haven't grown yet to accept difference.

Gotta admit I love traditional things like traditional dance, language, custom, clothes and I treasure them by watch them and proud of them.

I can understand several words from 2 traditional language from 2 different ethnics but because I didn't learn it for advanced it just evaporate like that. I don't do the dances but would love to if I can. I love kebaya and batik but I don't wear it often. Well, let's say different preferences.

Ah, I speak and write English more than Bahasa. I don't know, I just don't have that "connection" with Bahasa. You'll find me frozen or blank to speak or write in Bahasa, well I don't know why I found difficulty on words in Bahasa. So don't blame me.

To me nationalism wasn't always about what you wear, talk but it's more like what we feel. I feel proud with my country despite every flaws and that hard-and-difficult transportation and the nightmare-traffic.

and I don't whine. I love my country so I don't whine but live in honesty to make this country better.

.Cheers.

From Classic Music to Classic Rock!

If you follow my twitter you'll know that I was captivated by the sound of Cello a couple days ago and now I listen rock music.

My musical preference is varied from classical music to rock. You'll find it weird, I know. I like to be weird!

Gotta admit I listen different kind of music but classic music and rock are tie in my top list of music genre then the easy listening pop music. But there's one thing I don't like, I don't like any songs from my country. It doesn't mean I hate it, I just don't find it good to listen, though there's still singer (more because of their voice) I fall for their love, Afgan is one of them.

Among any instruments, I have my heart on piano, guitar and now I am captivated by the sound of cello.

I love this Cello Bach. I like the modern-sound and the very-classical one too :)

Ouuuggghhh Bach - Cello Suite No.1 i-Prelude really make me fly... It's very beautiful. I really never thought Cello could sound so beautiful....

I used to listen to Richard Clayderman when I was a kid and Maxim when I was a teenager so don't get yourself confuse. My dad has his own way to wake his children up in the morning by volume-ing up music so we would at least bother by the sound of it but sorry dad it doesn't work :)

But rock music help me with all my insecurities when I grew up from a teenager to young-adult and even until now I still listening to rock music. Basically I didn't it's rock or alternative or whatever but I listen people in band with great music, loud rhythm, and angelic voice from metal to alternative to classic rock to what ever. But my all-time favorite is Saosin and Paramore, just don't ask me how many times I listened to their music. Countless!

Just yesterday I run into this rock band - The Pretty Reckless - the one with Taylor Momsen. I doubt her, at first, but then I was blown away with her voice. Boom! a 17 year-old girl could sing like a rocker and look like a hooker at the same time. The way she used clothes remind you of Marie Currie but whatever I listened to good music and great vocal.

She's pretty brave but I gotta admit she's one amazing supermodel-body rockstar-attitude singer which you know what I hope for, right? If life is wild then I might become bff with Taymom.

Good Friday, everyone!

.Cheers.
