Morton's Fork

This week is week full of good news from my husband, my family and my friends. I'm happy when they're happy. Moreover my husband got his new job.

I've been waiting for this day. His new job means move out from home. I've been dying to live alone.

The realization is I-we-need to stay at Jakarta, capital city of Indonesia. I've been staying at Jakarta before I got married for 1y9m and then I commute for 1y4m. I love the idea of living (again) in Jakarta means I don't need to commute 4 hours a day by train for work add with my fight with cold shower, cold weather, uncomfortable train, Jakarta traffic. I'm happy and can't wait to not commute everyday.

But then I remember how I loathe living in Jakarta so bad. This city is hideous. I hate the temptation of the lifestyle-the more money you've got the more money you'll spend-and I've been fighting it off the last 2 years. All the hustle and bustle of Jakarta that make me often nausea. And I've never been a city girl.

I do happy but it just doesn't feel that right.

It's a dilemma with two equally unpleasant options like when people said "between the devil and the deep blue sea"

verbicide magazine

I can't find any other way. I just want to settle but perhaps it's not the time. So I guess I just need to endure, I hope I won't get crazy.

.Cheers.

Saturday 9: Hakuna Matata

Hakuna Matata

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

1) Sam is crazy for The Lion King. Do you have a favorite Disney movie? Though am not a big fan of cartoon but I remember very well Aladin and I was Princess Jasmine XD

2) The song tells us that Hakuna Matata "means no worries." Is something worrying you right now? Gaining weight and some unwelcome fat in my belly and other parts.

3) Who is the most optimistic person you know? My husband. To the point of ridiculous. While I am a very very realistic person.

4) Elton John wrote "Hakuna Matata" but didn't record it. Name a song Sir Elton is famous for singing. Can You Feel The Love Tonight.

5) Can you play the piano? Sadly no. Given no chance to learn but I will make sure my kids will be able to play piano.

6) Congratulations! You just won a guided African Safari Tour! 8 days in Zambia and Botswana for you and a friend. All expenses paid, and allowing you access to breathtaking, unforgettable sights. It takes at least 30 hours to get there, and before you go you'll need yellow fever and hepatitis vaccinations and medication to prevent malaria. Are you up for it? Am in (even without thinking). Africa is on my second list after France for sure.

7) There's been a mistake. You really won a 4-night Disney Bahamas Cruise for two. Are you relieved or disappointed that you'll be partying with a guy in a Simba suit on the Lido Deck instead of observing a real lion in the wild? Am up for any party at least don't try to make me wear a Simba suit.

8) Let's bring this back to real life -- do you have any vacation plans? Not in a near time, my hubby just got new jobs so no personal leave for a year and I am just gonna suck it up. If there's miracle I'd like everywhere with beach and bikinis.

9) Describe your luggage. Is it durable and high quality? Or are you like Crazy Sam, who has been known to use an Old Navy shopping bag as her carry-on? It's my mom old durable luggage for some occasion but I prefer a backpack for short trip

Have a great weekend everyone :)

.Cheers.

Soul, Books and Library

I always love reading whether it's books or comics. There's a time when I was in high school I read Indonesian literature from Indonesia author which I unconsciously choosing a thought-provoking theme and hard to chew with in through my mind. I was a comic freak when I was in college. There's a cheap comic rental along the way to my college so instead of bringing subject lit I brought a bag full of comics and instead of studying I read comics in most all prof's class. Sorry sir.

Just recently, when I was getting bored with daily routine I started read books but this time more novel-like with varies genre from romance, dystopian-utopian, young-adult, erotica, paranormal and sometimes arduous English literature but never a horror or mystery one. Never. Just never.

Realizing reading books actually broaden my mind. I actually learn a lot of things I never knew exist and I enjoyed the most about social, psychological, character development and pain. In Indonesia, reading was a luxury hobby because we don't make it a good habit on that. We love piracy because it's cheaper but I know that is definitely wrong. Plus with our lack of purchasing power over book made reading wasn't a big habit. Whilst going to mall doing nothing but wandering like loony, blabbering ridiculous jokes, buying new clothes, or ogling hot strangers seemed common hobby here.

I love books a lot because it's richen my soul and I am dying to have a personal library or at least a giant massive bookshelf at home. I do hope my kids will inherit this hobby from their mother. I hope I can have these kind of library in my future home, someday.

+ + + +

You realize I like earth-tone color, right? I do like it a lot because it gives warmth. So do you like books?

.Cheers.

A Day Without .....

...... my smartphone.

I didn't do it on purpose because I forgot to bring them with me, but I am glad I forgot.

I was pretty anxious at first because my blackberry is for work purpose but I realize it I have no love for my blackberry so I am glad he's sitting on my desk at home.

I am like men out there and nowhere like women because I like gadget A LOT. I've been trying out a lot of brands and even now but I didn't have desire to change my smartphone like I did. The more technology as smartphone and other gadget out there I was back to basic, I like it if there's no such thing as smartphone, laptop, tab, or else. Just simple thing as lame computer and slow connection internet.

I didn't really like smartphone nowadays because it's too complicated with applications and never-ending soc med drained your smartphone battery. What use of mobile phone when it easily run out of battery? I hate it because it makes people easily connect to soc med and do nothing than staring at their smartphone.

I like when everything so old school. But that's not what happen out there.

These are TeliaSonera Trends research studies, which they conduct periodically via mobile (and web) apps that are available in 12 countries and for Apple, Android and Symbian smartphones (link)

If I had a chance in the future, I'd like to do it again (or maybe next time I'll do it on purpose).

.Cheers.

The Meme From Memphis (part one)

The Meme From Memphis (part one)

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme.

Today we ripped off a blogger named Memphis Steve from the blog Steve's Nude Memphis Blog. He does not say where he got it from, but judging by his profile picture, we don not want to know!   But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Take the time to comment on other player's posts. It's a great way to make new friends! Link back to us at Sunday Stealing! Click on Steve's name to see his real profile picture...

The 5000 Question Meme, Part Five

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. Charm Bracelet

I always amazed how reading a book can broaden my mind and my know-how of other countries culture. I never knew that Charm Bracelet actually means something. According to Mrs. Wikipedia a charm bracelet is an item of jewellery worn around the wrist that carries personal "charms" with decorative pendants or trinkets which signify important things in the wearer's life.

If you ever see a charm bracelet each pendant actually meant something to the wearer. This I never knew. I had a ready-to-wear charm bracelet that I bought it in online store but that pendants didn't represent me or my life. Apparently, it is common thing to mark important things in your life in a charm bracelet. You can made it by yourself or set an order in jewelry store.

This are charm bracelet Christian Grey gave Ana in her birthday mark: Paris, London black taxi (both from their honeymoon), sailing, soaring, Charlie Tango (all from C.Grey hobbies), Ben&Jerry's&Ana's, (there's supposed to be piano) (from their kinky sex), a love locket, a key to C. Grey heart, and a C (as becoming his first girlfriend).

This are charm bracelet inspired from Fifty Shades of Grey mark each sweet moments in C. Grey and A. Grey relationship and their kinky sex.

This is the best I can find charm bracelet inspired from Beautiful Disaster not the one Trav gave Abby as Val's gift.

Abby's charm bracelet mark: sweater (covered in blood in their first meet), a pair of dice, a green bead with shamrocks, motocycle (Trav's love), heart ('course), decks of cards (to remind of Vegas), turkey (Maddoz Thanksgiving), black bead (a dark memory when Abby leave Trav), flame and a ring (their wedding)

I found this tutorial (for men only) to give your partner a handmade and cheap (though we love diamonds we crazy more of thoughtful men). :)

If I could have a charm bracelet what will I put on it? Dunno. Age makes me less romantic :p but it's true. Maybe if you gave me when I was in college I probably will have ear to ear stupid grin but I'll try to do the same now. Okay stop blabbering non sense, I am not typically romantic.

My charm bracelet will mark: all the Divergent symbol, a script of LOVE, a butterfly, a skull, my initial name-F, Eiffel tower, a green leaf, Africa and a globe. All represents some stages of life I've been through and some dreams I never had a chance to make it come true.

So if you can have your own charm bracelet, what will you put in there?

.Cheers.
