Hibernating, Expecting, and Fasting

Dear readers,

I know, I’ve been around just for reading. I have no power of writing and blogging even though I miss it damn much. I have some new posts in the draft and my notepad it’s just I am have no intention to read it and edit it. So I decide to hibernate for a while, well I have no idea until when. Since also am expecting, that’s the good news, but the early stage isn’t something I fond of. My body cracking and I am dying if I walking. Plus it’s fasting month here and I try to fasting as best as I can. Just wish me do everything well.

I am gonna miss you readers. I will still probably around to read some of your post so until then live long and prosper.

.Cheers.

Walk-In Closet

I've post about my dream kitchen and library of my future home. Now I am going to post my dream walk in closet (Is it walk in closet or walking closet?) . In where I living in, having a walk in closet is a rare thing unless you are filthy rich. Here we use bedroom cupboard and it's not that big or really big if u have a lot of stuff.

I am struggling to manage the amount of the clothes and the extent of the bedroom cupboard that actually leave me crazy. Because no way it's gonna fit in one place. Since we plan on moving back to my in-laws house I need to think some ideas that will put everything in the right place.

Off course, I need to put away some old clothes or rarely use clothes to a chest so the clothes that I will put in the bedroom cupboard are the one we frequently use. But I am dying to have a walk in closet at my future home. It's because I have allergy to dust and keep everything clean and organize will at least ease my allergy. That's why I can't stand having a junk in my room previously.

So here are the idea for my walk in closet:

pictures from housepict.com

I hope I can make it happen in near future....

.Cheers.

(Amazing) Just The Way You Are

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: (Amazing) Just the Way You Are

Thanks to Smellyann for the song suggestion

1) This song is about a girl who can't accept how pretty she is. How do you respond to compliments? Do you accept them graciously, or do you get embarrassed? I don't do well witg compliments and easily embarrased. I think because I lack my self-esteem so I'd gone doubting ppl when they say something good about me whether it's true or not.

2) Bruno says he takes inspiration from a variety of musical styles -- everything from rock to reggae to hip hop. What kind of music do you listen to most often? Rock, heavy rock to pop rock, indie rock, country rock, alternative rock. Just a band than a boyband.

3) Bruno's uncle was a professional Elvis impersonator, and as a little boy Bruno also performed on stage as the King. When you picture Elvis, do you think of early rock'n'roll Elvis from the 1950s, Technicolor Hollywood Elvis of the 1960s, or the rhinestone jumpsuit Elvis who performed in Las Vegas? Rhinestone jumpsuit memorable because it's bling bling.

4) Bruno plays several instruments onstage, including piano, guitar and congas. What instruments can you play? I wish I could but I suck with instruments. If I could, I'd like piano, guitar and cello.

5) Bruno is touring all over the country this summer. What's the last concert you attended? I don't do concerts but (don't laugh) I attend one of Kpop boyband concerts and screaming like a teen.

6) Unlike some other stars, Bruno doesn't demand a lot of luxuries on the road, but he did admit to TMZ that he insists Wet Wipes be provided for his dressing room. If you could ask your boss for anything, anything at all, to make your workplace more comfortable, what would you request? Pretty much satisfied. For me as long there's computer and fast internet connection I won't bitching.

7) Rumors are flying that Bruno might become a judge on American Idol. Are you an Idol fan? Do you watch any of the other "talent search" shows -- The Voice, America's Got Talent, The X Factor, etc.? Used to. I don't really like the idea of talent search, getting boring with similar concept.

8) Bruno is an unapologetic cigarette smoker. Do you smoke? Have you quit? Or did you never start? This is a secret. If ppl get high with drugs, I get high with smoke. I wasn't make it a habit it just short span curiosity... that killed the cat.

9) Billy Joel also had a hit with the title "Just the Way You Are." If we were going to do karaoke, which version would you sing -- Billy's or Bruno's? I am not into Bruno Mars at first but I listem to him lately... The Talking to the moon and locked out of heaven songs.

Today is my mom 51st bday if she's here. Happy Birthday mom.

And have a great weekend fabulous readers.

.Cheers.

Saturday 9: Greased Lightnin'

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

In 1951, Englewood's mayor made the first-ever direct dial long-distance call in the United States. Now it's your turn. Tell us something about your birthplace. A place with frequent heavy rain and known as thousand-angkot city. There's no dry or rainy season in the city it's always raining. And angkot is public transportation (car) painted in blue or green.

6) Travolta is an excellent dancer. How are you on the dance floor? I used to dance when I was a teen but not know. Well, I want to try belly dance or salsa.

7) Grease is an upbeat musical about the students of Rydell High. Another Travolta movie is Carrie, which features the worst prom night imaginable. Grease or Carrie -- which is closer to your high school experience? The prom itself is a horror in my memory.

8) What was your best subject in high school? What was your worst? My best: Math, English, Chemistry. My worst: Physics, Arts.

9) Sam made good use of the bus ride to school, using that time to complete her homework. What do you remember about getting to or from school? Hmm, couple smoochin' and me sleeping with mouth open. I don't want to remember that.

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme.
Let's go!!!

Today we ripped off as a blogger named Danielle, from her blog Sometimes Sweet. She doesn't say where she got it--but it was probably stolen from somewhere cool. Tracing back the thefts of those that we steal from could take a while. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

My Nationalism

I might heard this somewhere, but I don't think I heard it somewhere, wait! Well, I never really cared what people talk about me, I didn't even know if they talk about me. Who cares? I don't care!

Well, I never questioning my nationalism but maybe the way I show my pride on my country wasn't always in the same road like everybody else.

I love my country-whole of it-but some parts just don't match mine. I hate ethnic discrimination.

I get this a lot from older people when people ask me
A: "Which ethnic are you?"
Me: "I am Indonesian"
A: "Which ethnic are you?"
Me: Ooouughhh persistence don't you. "I born in B city, grew in B city, my mother from D and C ethnicity, my father from E ethnicity and ancestry from F people, so I am Indonesian"

Given how people nowadays more modern and advance and there's a lot of cross-ethnic weddings which make their new generation is a mixed of different culture.

I love every ethnic in Indonesia but what I hate is people tend to talk bad of other ethnic and that's way I pronounce myself out loud " I am Indonesian". It seemed like I don't care about being in one ethnicity, yes I don't care, because in my eyes Indonesia is about diversity but yet we haven't grown yet to accept difference.

Gotta admit I love traditional things like traditional dance, language, custom, clothes and I treasure them by watch them and proud of them.

I can understand several words from 2 traditional language from 2 different ethnics but because I didn't learn it for advanced it just evaporate like that. I don't do the dances but would love to if I can. I love kebaya and batik but I don't wear it often. Well, let's say different preferences.

Ah, I speak and write English more than Bahasa. I don't know, I just don't have that "connection" with Bahasa. You'll find me frozen or blank to speak or write in Bahasa, well I don't know why I found difficulty on words in Bahasa. So don't blame me.

To me nationalism wasn't always about what you wear, talk but it's more like what we feel. I feel proud with my country despite every flaws and that hard-and-difficult transportation and the nightmare-traffic.

and I don't whine. I love my country so I don't whine but live in honesty to make this country better.

.Cheers.

From Classic Music to Classic Rock!

If you follow my twitter you'll know that I was captivated by the sound of Cello a couple days ago and now I listen rock music.

My musical preference is varied from classical music to rock. You'll find it weird, I know. I like to be weird!

Gotta admit I listen different kind of music but classic music and rock are tie in my top list of music genre then the easy listening pop music. But there's one thing I don't like, I don't like any songs from my country. It doesn't mean I hate it, I just don't find it good to listen, though there's still singer (more because of their voice) I fall for their love, Afgan is one of them.

Among any instruments, I have my heart on piano, guitar and now I am captivated by the sound of cello.

I love this Cello Bach. I like the modern-sound and the very-classical one too :)

Ouuuggghhh Bach - Cello Suite No.1 i-Prelude really make me fly... It's very beautiful. I really never thought Cello could sound so beautiful....

I used to listen to Richard Clayderman when I was a kid and Maxim when I was a teenager so don't get yourself confuse. My dad has his own way to wake his children up in the morning by volume-ing up music so we would at least bother by the sound of it but sorry dad it doesn't work :)

But rock music help me with all my insecurities when I grew up from a teenager to young-adult and even until now I still listening to rock music. Basically I didn't it's rock or alternative or whatever but I listen people in band with great music, loud rhythm, and angelic voice from metal to alternative to classic rock to what ever. But my all-time favorite is Saosin and Paramore, just don't ask me how many times I listened to their music. Countless!

Just yesterday I run into this rock band - The Pretty Reckless - the one with Taylor Momsen. I doubt her, at first, but then I was blown away with her voice. Boom! a 17 year-old girl could sing like a rocker and look like a hooker at the same time. The way she used clothes remind you of Marie Currie but whatever I listened to good music and great vocal.

She's pretty brave but I gotta admit she's one amazing supermodel-body rockstar-attitude singer which you know what I hope for, right? If life is wild then I might become bff with Taymom.

Good Friday, everyone!

.Cheers.

Morton's Fork

This week is week full of good news from my husband, my family and my friends. I'm happy when they're happy. Moreover my husband got his new job.

I've been waiting for this day. His new job means move out from home. I've been dying to live alone.

The realization is I-we-need to stay at Jakarta, capital city of Indonesia. I've been staying at Jakarta before I got married for 1y9m and then I commute for 1y4m. I love the idea of living (again) in Jakarta means I don't need to commute 4 hours a day by train for work add with my fight with cold shower, cold weather, uncomfortable train, Jakarta traffic. I'm happy and can't wait to not commute everyday.

But then I remember how I loathe living in Jakarta so bad. This city is hideous. I hate the temptation of the lifestyle-the more money you've got the more money you'll spend-and I've been fighting it off the last 2 years. All the hustle and bustle of Jakarta that make me often nausea. And I've never been a city girl.

I do happy but it just doesn't feel that right.

It's a dilemma with two equally unpleasant options like when people said "between the devil and the deep blue sea"

verbicide magazine

I can't find any other way. I just want to settle but perhaps it's not the time. So I guess I just need to endure, I hope I won't get crazy.

.Cheers.

Saturday 9: Hakuna Matata

Hakuna Matata

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

1) Sam is crazy for The Lion King. Do you have a favorite Disney movie? Though am not a big fan of cartoon but I remember very well Aladin and I was Princess Jasmine XD

2) The song tells us that Hakuna Matata "means no worries." Is something worrying you right now? Gaining weight and some unwelcome fat in my belly and other parts.

3) Who is the most optimistic person you know? My husband. To the point of ridiculous. While I am a very very realistic person.

4) Elton John wrote "Hakuna Matata" but didn't record it. Name a song Sir Elton is famous for singing. Can You Feel The Love Tonight.

5) Can you play the piano? Sadly no. Given no chance to learn but I will make sure my kids will be able to play piano.

6) Congratulations! You just won a guided African Safari Tour! 8 days in Zambia and Botswana for you and a friend. All expenses paid, and allowing you access to breathtaking, unforgettable sights. It takes at least 30 hours to get there, and before you go you'll need yellow fever and hepatitis vaccinations and medication to prevent malaria. Are you up for it? Am in (even without thinking). Africa is on my second list after France for sure.

7) There's been a mistake. You really won a 4-night Disney Bahamas Cruise for two. Are you relieved or disappointed that you'll be partying with a guy in a Simba suit on the Lido Deck instead of observing a real lion in the wild? Am up for any party at least don't try to make me wear a Simba suit.

8) Let's bring this back to real life -- do you have any vacation plans? Not in a near time, my hubby just got new jobs so no personal leave for a year and I am just gonna suck it up. If there's miracle I'd like everywhere with beach and bikinis.

9) Describe your luggage. Is it durable and high quality? Or are you like Crazy Sam, who has been known to use an Old Navy shopping bag as her carry-on? It's my mom old durable luggage for some occasion but I prefer a backpack for short trip

Have a great weekend everyone :)

.Cheers.

Soul, Books and Library

I always love reading whether it's books or comics. There's a time when I was in high school I read Indonesian literature from Indonesia author which I unconsciously choosing a thought-provoking theme and hard to chew with in through my mind. I was a comic freak when I was in college. There's a cheap comic rental along the way to my college so instead of bringing subject lit I brought a bag full of comics and instead of studying I read comics in most all prof's class. Sorry sir.

Just recently, when I was getting bored with daily routine I started read books but this time more novel-like with varies genre from romance, dystopian-utopian, young-adult, erotica, paranormal and sometimes arduous English literature but never a horror or mystery one. Never. Just never.

Realizing reading books actually broaden my mind. I actually learn a lot of things I never knew exist and I enjoyed the most about social, psychological, character development and pain. In Indonesia, reading was a luxury hobby because we don't make it a good habit on that. We love piracy because it's cheaper but I know that is definitely wrong. Plus with our lack of purchasing power over book made reading wasn't a big habit. Whilst going to mall doing nothing but wandering like loony, blabbering ridiculous jokes, buying new clothes, or ogling hot strangers seemed common hobby here.

I love books a lot because it's richen my soul and I am dying to have a personal library or at least a giant massive bookshelf at home. I do hope my kids will inherit this hobby from their mother. I hope I can have these kind of library in my future home, someday.

+ + + +

You realize I like earth-tone color, right? I do like it a lot because it gives warmth. So do you like books?

.Cheers.

A Day Without .....

...... my smartphone.

I didn't do it on purpose because I forgot to bring them with me, but I am glad I forgot.

I was pretty anxious at first because my blackberry is for work purpose but I realize it I have no love for my blackberry so I am glad he's sitting on my desk at home.

I am like men out there and nowhere like women because I like gadget A LOT. I've been trying out a lot of brands and even now but I didn't have desire to change my smartphone like I did. The more technology as smartphone and other gadget out there I was back to basic, I like it if there's no such thing as smartphone, laptop, tab, or else. Just simple thing as lame computer and slow connection internet.

I didn't really like smartphone nowadays because it's too complicated with applications and never-ending soc med drained your smartphone battery. What use of mobile phone when it easily run out of battery? I hate it because it makes people easily connect to soc med and do nothing than staring at their smartphone.

I like when everything so old school. But that's not what happen out there.

These are TeliaSonera Trends research studies, which they conduct periodically via mobile (and web) apps that are available in 12 countries and for Apple, Android and Symbian smartphones (link)

If I had a chance in the future, I'd like to do it again (or maybe next time I'll do it on purpose).

.Cheers.

The Meme From Memphis (part one)

The Meme From Memphis (part one)

Today we ripped off a blogger named Memphis Steve from the blog Steve's Nude Memphis Blog. He does not say where he got it from, but judging by his profile picture, we don not want to know!   But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Take the time to comment on other player's posts. It's a great way to make new friends! Link back to us at Sunday Stealing! Click on Steve's name to see his real profile picture...
